3 Ways to Wear a Pleated Skirt

Hello!  I feel like this weekend was loooong.  I didn’t get a post out Friday and actually kind of missed it!  I really look forwards to Mondays.  I know that is not common sentiment but Mondays just feel like a blank slate to me.  Time to start fresh.  Also this Thursday is Thanksgiving!  Where has time gone!?

My everyday battle is trying to find new and exciting ways to wear what I already have in my closet.  I don’t have endless funds and I paying my way through college so it goes without saying that I can’t buy everything my heart desires 🙂  I have to be strategic in what I buy.  i.e. if I can’t wear that shirt 20 different ways, no bueno.  So I thought it might be fun to take one article of clothing and show you multiple ways to wear it.  I present to you: The pleated skirt done 3 ways!

1. Sophisticated: Striped Top

For this look I went nice and simple.

I paired my Topshop Pleated skirt w/

a striped shirt (similar ones here and here)

my Sam Edelman Booties

and a super tiny choker (similar ones found here and here)

2. Casual: Tank/Cardigan

For the second look I went a little bit more casual 🙂

I paired the skirt w/ my Topshop U-Neck Tank

3. Grungy: Tee w/ Sneakers

For my third look I went grungy baby!

 I paired my skirt with my version of a band tee 🙂 (I bought it a Bethel music concert and cannot find it online.  Here is a similar band tee!)

and my metallic sneakers (similar ones found here and here)

and finished it off with a bandana and my $12 BP Sunglasses! (BP sunglasses are amazing!  I have 4 pairs scattered around.  For $12 you can’t go wrong.)
